Legal Clinics

Pro bono legal clinics are an avenue for the needy to seek free legal advice. For several years, PBG has provided a steady stream of committed volunteers to assist lawyers at over 10 different clinics hosted by various organisations like the Law Society Pro Bono Services (LSPBS), the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), and the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

Students can expect to be rostered to participate in either online or in-person legal clinics, depending on the needs of the host organisation. Students will also undergo training to introduce them to legal clinics and their operations, as well as to acquaint them with the necessary administrative procedures.

By attending legal clinics, students will be able to witness how complex legal concepts are explained to clients in simpler ways, and how lawyers interact with clients in practice. As clients come to clinics with different concerns, you will be exposed to a variety of legal issues by participating in legal clinic sessions!
